Frequently Asked Questions

Community Lockers are available to children and families who need sports equipment. No lengthy application is required. We simply ask that families take only what they need so there is enough equipment to help others in the community.

1

Who qualifies?

Each locker is stocked by community donations, so inventory varies. You may find cleats, balls, gloves, bats, helmets, pads, racquets, uniforms, protective gear, and other sports equipment in a variety of sizes and sports.

2

What equipment is available?

How often may families use a Community Locker?

3

Families are welcome to use a Community Locker whenever a child has a genuine need for sports equipment. Please take only what is needed for the current season so more children can stay in the game.

Can I donate equipment back later?

4

Yes! We encourage families to return equipment once it has been outgrown or is no longer needed. Returning gear helps another child participate in sports and keeps the cycle of giving going within the community. Donations are always appreciated but never required.

Do I need to return the exact equipment I borrowed?

5

No. Community Lockers operate on a community sharing model. If you’re able, simply donate clean, gently used sports equipment when your child has outgrown it. It doesn’t have to be the exact item you received.

Yes. All equipment in a Locker League Community Locker is provided free of charge through the generosity of local families, businesses, schools, and community partners.

6

Is the equipment free?

What if the locker doesn’t have what I need?

7

Inventory changes frequently as new donations arrive. Check back often or scan the QR code on the locker to see if nearby Community Lockers have the equipment you’re looking for.

Can anyone donate sports equipment?

8

Absolutely! Anyone can help keep kids in the game by donating clean, gently used sports equipment at a Locker League Donation Locker.
